Keepers of the Culture (KOC) is a dynamic program that is one component of the Learning Cultures® pedagogical model started by Cynthia McCallister of NYU. In this presentation you will learn how Urban Assembly for Green Careers developed the program and cut suspensions by almost half in one semester. In KOC, a group of students use RBSC and the strength of the peer community to develop Promise Cards, or behavior contracts that help teach the toughest students to change their behavior.
