Eight years ago, I left my sixteen year kindergarten teaching career to virtual/homeschool my two children. Upon our son's autism diagnosis, the developmental pediatrician prescribed, "Immerse him in his strength and interest and he will succeed." This became the foundation for the Jones Academy, our PBL approach surrounding strengths and interests. What began as an alternative educational learning environment for my son and daughter, transpired into my passion for research. Just S.M.I.L.E. is our journey to self awareness, with the discovery that we are all neurodiverse, with the same need to belong.
